Default Don't Sell That Piece Of Armor!

After having a fellow guild member lose one of his runes because he didn't know to expert salvage his rune-encased piece of armor, I figured I'd post this as a general announcement to the newer players. If you apply a rune to a piece of armor and get a new set of armor, don't immediately equip your new 1337 armor and go sell your old set for some gold. Buy and expert salvage kit (should have one on you at all times once you get past Lion's Arch) and go salvage any armor pieces you had runes equipped on. If you're lucky, you'll get your rune back which can then be applied to a piece of your new armor set! Hurray!

So, don't be a fool and sell that old armor piece for some 50+ gold, salvage it for that rune you earned and keep on owning!

Ah, yes. I was going to try this, but I sadly don't have any extra armor that I can salvage with runes. There was also a question concerning this a while back. Thanks for the info, bro. .

Doesn't always work though. So be prepared to lose that rune or waepon part if it doesn't salvage back out. It sux, but I've lost several pieces that way.

Yeah, should work if anything "rune-equippable." I hate to see players lose valuable equipment like this because then I can't con them out of the runes later.

Kidding.

There should be a skill or some attribbute that incrases your succes of salvaging something good (in this case getting your rune back).

hmmm but everyones armor is "customized" for them when they have it crafted so it would seem that there is a double standard built into the game.
